D.I.Y Protein Bar Recipe by The Clever Cook
Are you racking up a small bill on shop bought protein bars, to help you sin free snack all week long? These home-made chocolate chip protein bars are super easy to make and a soft and chewy inside. Make them with just a few ingredients in batches, to store away and pop in your hand bag or lunch box when needed! Trust me- they really are just too delicious!
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp of Chocolate flavoured protein
- ½ tsp of Ground Coffee
- 1 tbsp. Honey/Maple
- 2 tbsp. Almond butter
- 1 tsp Cacao Nibs
Method:
- Simply spoon each ingredient one by one into a large bowl and using the back of the spoon mash the ingredients up together until a dough forms, not too wet or too dry.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Mould the mixture into small bite sized bars. (like milky ways)
- Pop on a baking tin and place in oven for 8-10 minutes
- Remove and allow to cool.
- Wrap in foil to store away individually or tuck in and enjoy!
