Home Comfort 50/50 Scheme

The Home Comfort 50/50 scheme is funded by the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP) and supported by firmus energy. The scheme is open to low-income households within the firmus energy gas network area

On this scheme you will receive a grant of 50% of the total cost of a natural gas central heating system and a fully funded insulation measures including:

  • Cavity wall and loft insulation
  • LED light bulbs
  • Remote Smart Thermostat Controller and
  • Endotherm Central Heating Additive

Scheme Criteria:

You must currently be a homeowner or a private tenant and have:

  • No central heating
  • Economy 7 heating
  • Solid Fuel heating
  • Old Oil or LPG heating system (where the boiler must be over 15 years or broken beyond viable economic repair)

Income Criteria:  

  • Single person household with an income/pension less than £35,000 gross
  • Couple / Single parent family with an income/pension less than £40,000 gross
