firmus energy offers homeowners a free annual gas boiler service on your natural gas heating installation if you are:
- 60+ and living alone
- Registered disabled and living alone
- Chronically ill and living alone
If you are not living alone but with a minor or another person in one of the three categories above you may also be eligible for firmuscare. If you email our customer care team - or give us a call on 0330 024 9000 we’ll be happy to walk you through the criteria
Further work identified
If further work is required, that has been identified during the boiler service there may be a charge for this. Any work involving gas or gas appliances must be carried out by a Gas Safe Registered Installer who should provide you with a quote before the work is carried out.
Discovery of dangerous appliances
If the Gas Safe Registered Installer discovers that an appliance or installation could be dangerous, they may have to shut off the gas supply until the problem is fixed. This will only be done where it is necessary to protect your safety and you will always be told about it and the reason why. Gas appliances should be serviced in line with the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure they run safely and efficiently by a Gas Safe Registered Installer.
