Four daring members of the firmus energy team took to abseiling down Belfast Castle – all in aid of a very good cause. The team from the local natural gas company, who on Sunday 13th December took part in the festive abseil, raised an impressive £1,200 for their charity partner Air Ambulance NI.
The team included Wilfred Johnston, Denise Curran and her daughter Ellie Curran, and Danielle Quinn. Air Ambulance NI offers pre-hospital critical care to patients across Northern Ireland whose lives are at serious risk following significant injury or trauma.
The charity, along with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) which can get to any location in Northern Ireland in approximately 25 minutes, with interventions at scene that can dramatically increase chances of patient survival.
The team at firmus energy have now raised a total of £4,500 towards the charity throughout their partnership.
