firmus energy reaccredited with Investor’s in People Gold

Local natural gas company, firmus energy has retained its Investor’s in People Gold accreditation.

Investors in People is a standard which is awarded to organisations committed to investing in its people through training and development, effective leadership and creating and maintaining a great place to work.

Niall Martindale, firmus energy’s Chief Executive Officer said,

“This is a tremendous achievement, and I am hugely proud of our employees and their commitment to firmus energy.   Every year we undertake a number of staff engagement surveys. In our most recent, 83% of staff strongly agreed or agreed that firmus energy was a great place to work, an increase of 7% from this time last year. This accreditation is an independent international benchmark assessment of our performance through people and reflects the dedication and passion of our staff.

“Our team are the bedrock of our company and in the current, challenging climate, they have demonstrated remarkable resilience. I am committed to investing in our people to make firmus energy a great place to work.”

Through firmus energy’s ‘Re-energising Project’ the company is striving to become an employer of choice through a workplace culture that promotes teamwork, diversity, and inclusiveness.

Summing up the accreditation, HR Manager & IIP Lead, Olga Pollock commented,

“Gold is a significant achievement for our organisation. It acknowledges our commitment to continually reflect, learn and improve and deliver on our ambition of becoming an Employer of Choice in Northern Ireland, both for the benefit of our people, and the organisation.”
