Local natural gas supplier firmus energy has claimed the top tier Platinum status in the Business in the Community Northern Ireland Environmental benchmarking survey for the second consecutive year.

The survey is Northern Irelands leading environmental benchmarking exercise with an emerging focus on sustainability and environmental actions.

Speaking of the award Chantal Hemphill, Health, Safety & Environment Manager at firmus energy commented:

“As we lead Northern Ireland's transition to a net-zero carbon future environmental strategies and management procedures are vital to success. With the fundamentals established and recognised, the next step for firmus energy is to translate this into action by kicking off improvement projects. The awarding of this top-tier platinum status is significant for firmus energy and it is great to have our efforts recognised."
