Feta & Spinach Lean Turkey Burgers
These tasty Turkey burgers can be made for salad toppers, BBQ's and can be popped into the freezer for a tasty mid-week dinner saviour, when you simply just don't have the time to cook up a dinner from scratch! They are low fat, high protein and even the kids will love them popped in a toasted Bun! This recipe is simple to make and requires only a few ingredients, which can all be bought at your local grocery stores!
Ingredients:
- 500g extra lean turkey mince
- 1 egg
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 cup of chopped spinach
- 2 tbsp. of crumbled Feta cheese
- pinch of pepper
Method:
- Pre-heat your grill whilst your prepare your turkey burgers
- In a large bowl break in your egg and add in the chopped spinach and feta cheese.
- Mix these 3 ingredients together and then grate in the clove of garlic.
- Slowly add in the turkey mince and mix it together with the other ingredients using clean hands or a spatula, until fully combined.
- Make small burger like patties with your hand until all the mince is used up.
- Your should get 5-6 medium sized burgers.
- Place the burgers onto the grill and allow to cook for 5 minutes before turning.
- Cook for a further 5 minutes on the opposite side and then remove to serve.
- Serve in a toasted wholegrain bun or with some rocket and mixed cous-cous for a tasty light lunch! Delicious!
