firmus energy’s Mark Prentice joined Employment and Learning Minister, Sir Reg Empey and Irish News editor Noel Doran at the launch of the third annual Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards in Belfast.

firmus energy, which now provides three options to commercial and industrial customers across Northern Ireland (natural gas, electricity, or both natural gas and electricity - dual fuel), is a business partner for the Awards which will take place in Belfast’s Ramada Hotel on 18 June.

Mark Prentice, general manager said: “firmus is currently bringing to Northern Ireland the financial and environmental benefits associated with natural gas, at a time when both commercial and domestic users are striving to make cost savings and become more environmentally aware.

“Through our provision of natural gas – and now also electricity – to businesses across Northern Ireland, we get to know the organisations we serve. There is a lot of innovation happening out there to make operations more environmentally and financially efficient, as well as to motivate staff and enhance productivity at this critical time.

“At firmus we certainly regard our people as our most valuable resource, and place a very strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. We believe a company’s workforce is its best ambassador, and so equipping staff with the skills they need and valuing them as such, helps organisations maximise productivity, as well as customer and employee satisfaction.

“The Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards are an important recognition of best practice and innovation across Northern Ireland and firmus is delighted to support them. We wish all the entrants good luck,” said Mark.
