firmus energy Forms Retailer Partnership with Lunney's, Banbridge
As part of its drive to be actively involved in the Banbridge community, natural gas supplier firmus energy has forged a retail partnership with family business Lunney’s Electrical in a bid to encourage customers to ‘buy local’ where they can and to support independent retailers.
Having initially trialled this scheme in Londonderry with great success, the company is now committed to rolling it out across the ten towns it operates in across Northern Ireland. By teaming up with local retailers, firmus aims to highlight to consumers not only the convenience and availability of gas appliances in participating stores, but also the solid reputation and reliability of the local retailer. This partnership approach is in line with the company’s commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates.
Neil Holland, head of sales and marketing for firmus energy said, “This partnership initiative aims to make purchasing gas appliances convenient for consumers and to promote trusted local retailers. Established over 40 years ago, we recognise Lunney’s status in the local community as a dependable and knowledgeable retailer. They have maintained a great reputation in the town and surrounding areas for an impressive length of time and we hope our relationship can help to build on that reputation, creating a win-win situation for everyone!
“Choosing local retailers will support town trade and give the customer piece of mind that they are buying gas appliances from trusted retailers. In the current economic climate, it is vital that local people support local businesses.”
Manager of Lunney’s, Brian McClelland commented on the partnership, “We have built our business by offering a large range of leading appliances. We were really keen for all firmus customers to be aware that we stock gas appliances. Family and community values are at the heart of our business and we are committed to offering our customers a continued high level of customer service and knowledge.”
