firmus energy made a welcome stop at Forge Integrated Primary School this week to present primary two pupil David McDonald (6) with a surprise gift – a 32 inch plasma TV in advance of the new school year starting in September.

David won the TV for his school after taking part in this year’s Balmoral Show Schools’ Trail sponsored by firmus energy, which supplies natural gas to 12 towns across Northern Ireland. As part of the trail, pupils from Forge Integrated visited the firmus energy stand to learn about the environmental benefits of using natural gas and in particular, how it can reduce your carbon footprint. The Schools’ Trail provides a great interactive and educational way for school children to maximise their visit to Balmoral. All participating schools completed worksheets as part of the trail and over 100 entries were entered into a prize draw to win the TV.
