firmus energy launches balmoral show school's trail
County Antrim girl, Elyse Taylor, age 3, with the help of Neil Holland, sales and marketing manager for firmus energy, Kristina Moxham, marketing and events assistant for the Kings Hall and newborn Easter chicks and bunnies, today launched the Balmoral Show School’s Trail which is supported by firmus energy.
Antrim-based energy provider, firmus energy, recently launched the new and improved Balmoral Show School’s Trail which the company is supporting for the second year running.
The trail is open to all schools during the Show (13th – 15th May) and is a great educational but interactive day out for pupils. This year’s Trail will consist of 15 stops around the Showgrounds, visiting a number of attractions, livestock halls and trade stands.
Neil Holland, Sales and Marketing Manager for firmus energy, said, “We are delighted to once again support the Balmoral Show School’s Trail which was a great success last year. It is an effective way for children to learn about the environment in a fun and innovative way.
“It is also increasingly important for young people to understand the importance of everyone reducing their carbon footprint. As natural gas is the most environmentally friendly of all the fossil fuels we felt that supporting this trail fits well with our education programme and is a natural partnership.
“We are also providing worksheets to all pupils who take part telling them all about natural gas so that they can learn a little more about the reduced carbon emissions, lower costs, efficient heat, instant hot water and space saving opportunities it can provide. All filled in worksheets will be entered into the draw and one lucky pupil will win a plasma TV screen for their school.”
