payment methods

At firmus energy we want you to be in control of your account. That's why we've put in place a variety of ways for you to keep up-to-date with your gas charges and enable you to pay for your gas.
Please do not send cash or cheques directly to firmus energy.

1) direct debit

Paying for your gas by direct debit is a simple way to spread the cost of your gas and help you avoid one-off larger bills.

There are two options, budget direct debit and variable direct debit.

Budget direct debit allows you to spread the costs of your natural gas over 12 monthly payments to give you greater control over your household budget.

With variable direct debit, your total quarterly bill amount is debited directly from your bank account 14 days from the date of your bill.

You will also receive a £5 quarterly discount on your gas bill if you set up a variable or budget direct debit.

2) prepayment

Should you choose to pay for your gas as you use it, you can have a prepay meter installed. This system uses the firmus energy smart card which can be used at any Paypoint outlet to pre-pay for your gas - the minimum payment is £5 and the maximum is £49, in any one transaction.

You can check your gas usage and top up your card when you need to. If you lose your card, you simply go along to any Paypoint outlet and purchase a new one at a cost of £4.90.

3) credit

You can pay your whole bill, free of charge, at any PayPoint outlet (cash only) or Post Office (by cash or cheque). Cheques should be made payable to Post Office Limited.

You can now pay your bill on-line, which is really convenient, because you can do this at any time, day or night. However if you'd prefer, you can still call us on 08456 05 00 88 and pay your bill over the phone by using your debit or credit* card.

Payment of your quarterly gas bill is due 14 days following the date of issue.

*please note there is a 2% charge for the use of a credit card for transactions over £250.

4) easy pay card

You can join our easy pay scheme and make a head start on your bills before they come in. The firmus energy easy pay scheme allows you to make payments towards your next bill at any time, starting from a minimum 1 pence payment. You are provided with a payment card, which you can simply take along with your cash to any local
PayPoint outlet. You will continue to receive bills each quarter showing a list of all payments made and details of any outstanding balance. Any debit balance must be paid within 14 days of the bill date.
