firmus energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bord Gáis (BGE), is responsible for delivering BGE strategic business objectives in Northern Ireland. Following the award of a license in March 2005, firmus energy is responsible for the construction of a new natural gas network in 10 towns and cities across Northern Ireland.

Key to the future success of firmus energy are the continued delivery of connection and volume targets in its franchise area as well as the development of a competitive supply business in the Greater Belfast gas market and the expansion of its electricity supply business across Northern Ireland.
